All broadband packages will be served by fiber to the home or business, so bandwidth and speed will not be an issue. You may want to take a look at https://broadbandnow.com/bandwidth-calculator, which provides a third party bandwidth calculator based on what devices you have in your home and how you use them. It is good to remember that while all of our packages are unlimited (NO DATA CAPS and NO OVERAGES), total volume of data transmitted over your connection is different than the speed at which data is transmitted. For example, if you have a 250Mbps package, there is no limit to how many megabits you can transmit, but you would only ever be able transmit 250 megabits in a second. You must also remember that one connection is shared by everyone within the home or business.

Internet, hosted UcaaS (business VoIP systems), security and alarms, managed firewalls, point to point circuits, dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM), web development, and IT support.

Installation is free when installed at the time SW Gas passes your location and you take their service and sign up for auto-pay, paperless billing, and managed Wi-Fi. There will never be a so-called subsidy payment.

If it is an issue with CC Communications’ network, service call charges would not apply. When taking managed Wi-Fi, service calls due to Wi-Fi router failure do not result in a service call charge. In the event it is determined the service call was due to customer operator error, customer caused damage to CC Communications equipment, or customer owned equipment, current technician rates would apply.

CC Communications provides a 1GB/1GB capable dual band router with both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz antennas with QoS. CC Communications takes full responsibility for this router, which means you never have to worry about buying a new one or paying for service charges related to a failed router. The CC Communications managed Wi-Fi includes a Calix Gigaspire or Gigacenter that allows CC Communications technicians to perform greater remote diagnostics and troubleshooting than other Wi-Fi routers. You are free to use your own Wi-Fi router, which would not affect the bandwidth or speed delivered to your home. When you use your own Wi-Fi router, please ensure it has the capacity to handle the speed delivered under your broadband package.

Internet is the bandwidth, and speed it is delivered at, between the users home or business, the provider’s central office, and the websites the user is trying to access.

Wi-Fi is the distribution of the bandwidth delivered to the user’s home or business throughout that home or business’ network. The Wi-Fi distribution within the location is a substitute for cables or wires. While cables or wires may be inconvenient, there are drawbacks to Wi-Fi connectivity.

Bandwidth and speed are reduced when your Internet connection is distributed via Wi-Fi rather than wires. This will also result in increased latency and reduced ping rates. As noted previously, gaming is especially sensitive to latency, which is why we recommend gaming systems are hardwired for best customer experience. As with all broadband providers, CC Communications’ broadband packages are for Internet and speeds delivered are to a network interface device. Distribution via Wi-Fi will marginally affect the speed when using a high quality Wi-Fi router, as well as extenders if needed.

Speed is one factor that impacts gaming. This should not be an issue with fiber to the home. However, as stated above, one Internet connection at your home is shared by all devices connecting to your connection. So, make sure your package is correct for the number and types of devices you are using in the home. To reduce lag and latency it is best to hardwire the gaming system. If not, the gaming system should be as close as possible to a QoS Wi-Fi router, and you should ensure that nothing is interfering with the signal. If you have a gamer in the home, please discuss with our representative so that we can get you set up correctly from the start.

Speak to a CC Communications representative about addressing unique needs brought about by larger homes, interference, or weak signals. CC Communications’ installers will use a device to check for signal strength and interference, and make recommendations regarding the potential need to boost signal strength through the use of Wi-Fi extenders. Utilizing a mesh network of extenders can ensure that (1) the signal strength is good everywhere in the home or business. The mesh system can also ensure that your device switches to the strongest signal and least congested channel.

CC Communications offers unlimited calling plans to US and 42 countries for $29.99 with no added fees or taxes.

CC Communications is a rural Nevada company that has been around for over 130 years. We have been Nevada’s innovator in fiber to the home services, and recognized as deploying the first FTTH in Nevada, and later connecting the first GB service in rural Nevada. We have always been about serving our Nevada neighbors with the same services we have in our own homes. As we buildout the Spring Creek area we will continue utilize Nevadans to build, operate, and maintain the network. Our revenue stays in Nevada and supports the local communities we serve. We look forward to becoming a part of the Elko and Spring Creek communities and being around for another 130 years and more.
